April 13-22, 2023 - North to Alaska

Our youngest daughter Maggie recently moved to Alaska with her husband Beau and two daughters.  So, of course, we had to go and visit them for a week.  Although we did an Alaskan cruise back in 2015, that was only the panhandle, and so this trip I felt like I was going to Alaska for the first time.  Although there was still a lot of snow on the ground, the weather was actually quite good, with temperatures in the 40s during the day and clear blue skies.  The highlight of the trip was going on a flightseeing tour around Mt. Denali in a bush plane and landing on a glacier.  I was surprised by how beautiful Alaska is.  I was also surprised by moose walking through the yard of our daughters house.
